Nail Crazies Unite - Sunflowers

Hey there!  Today I have some sunflowers I painted to share.  Yes, I actually freehanded something.  It's a rare, rare occurrence!  But since today's Nail Crazies Unite theme is sunflowers (and the Nail Challenge Collaborative flower month) and I've already used the UberChic sunflower image, I decided to try to paint them.  I think they actually turned out looking like sunflowers so I'm happy :-)

I wanted these to be matte so I started with 2 coats of OPI 4 In The Morning.  Then realized that was completely unnecessary since I wanted to top coat the flowers before finishing with a matte top coat so I really could've used any black at all.  I'm so smart sometimes.  

Really all I did was have my computer open to a picture of a sunflower and used a couple yellows and browns to paint the flowers.  They're far from perfect but they'll do.  

Then, like I said I added a glossy top coat just so that the matte top coat wouldn't streak them.  My matte top coat of choice was OPI's.  

That's really all there was to it.  If I can freehand them, I think anyone could.  All you need is a yellow flower with a big brown spot and it's a sunflower!  If you'd like to see more sunflowers (and other flowers) check out the links below!
