Maniology Mani X Me Box December 2019

Affiliate Code

Hey there!  Today I have a look at Maniology's latest Mani X Me box.  December's box is all about gems/marble which makes for some really fantastic designs.  For the uninitiated, the Mani X Me box is a monthly subscription box (also available on a month-by-month basis) that contains two exclusive stamping plates, two polishes and an "extra" which changes every month.  While the full box is really affordable (at $20-25 USD/month, depending on subscription length), it's also available in an Express format which doesn't include the polishes, for $15.30-18 USD/month).  I normally do two manis per plate but this month just screamed for a mix-n-match so most of them included both plates together.  This month's box is available until December 23rd so you have until Monday to decide if this one is for you!  And, if you're new, you can use the code COPY10 to save $5 off your first box which makes it even more affordable!

UberChic Beauty Jingle All The Way, Christmas Companion Layers, Flourishes & Ornaments, Pretty In Plaid 02 and Stand Together Stamping Plates

Press  Sample

Hey there!  Well I did say recently that I had a lot of UberChic Beauty posts coming up and I'm sticking to my promise.  In today's post I have the 5 most recent UberChic plates.  All of these were single plates (not in a set of 3, like her collections are) and all upheld the standard that I now have for UberChic quality.  The plates measure 9.5 x 14.5 mm with 17 x 21 mm full nail images though most plates also have some smaller images of various sizes.  Here we have some amazing holiday plates as well as a couple of the plates she released in the fall.  I'm terribly behind on blogging but luckily the fall releases are appropriate year-round.

The Digit-al Dozen does Accent Nails - Poinsettia Accent

Hey there!  It's the final day of The Digit-al Dozen's Accent Nails week and my final look has a stamping accent.  I love Christmas-time since I feel like it's the easiest time of year (next to Valentine's Day) to wear red nail polish.  I've mentioned many times how much I LOVE red nail polish but I feel like it's always too bold for me to wear.  I don't know where that comes from since I have no problems wearing bright blue nail polish even though that's way more noticeable than red.  In fact, my most recent Tonic Polish order came today, including two new reds for me.  I might have to put one of them on tonight.  'Tis the season and all that...

The Digit-al Dozen does Accent Nails - Glitter Accent

Hey there!  While trying to jump out of Christmas-only mode for Accent Nails week, I decided to do another straight-up glitter accent mani.  The combination of this amazing polish plus a fun new stamping plate made this my favourite mani of the week (yup, I finished them all even though I didn't start until Sunday night...I'm giving myself a pat on the back).  Stick around to find out what polish and plate I'm talking about.

The Digit-al Dozen does Accent Nails - Winter Stamping

Hey there!  Since I started Digit-al Dozen's week a day late, I thought I better try to catch up so I'm doing two posts in a row.  Since we're doing Accent Nails, it made me think of images that I LOVE but that wouldn't really make sense to do a full mani with.  This image from Whats Up Nails B035 is a great example (hence I used it here).  I love the deer with the trees and grass but it would look funny to do every nail with it....so it's an accent nail.  Luckily the plate also has some lovely tree images that mix-n-match with it perfectly.

The Digit-al Dozen does Accent Nails - Matte Black and White Stamping

Hey there!  For my second Digit-al Dozen Accent Nails design, I have a mani that is pretty much exactly what I think of when I hear "accent nails" - just one glitter nail.  I remember wayyyyyy back in the day when having my nails unmatched was so edgy.  Now that's nothing.  But there is still something extra cool about one glitter nails, especially paired with a matte black look.

The Digit-al Dozen does Accent Nails - Christmas Dotitcure

Hey there!  I'm late for Day 1 of Digit-al Dozen's Accent Nails week.  I have been feeling like I was coming down with something so I'm not done my manis ahead of time this month.  Luckily the theme should be easy enough...especially if the nail art is only on the accent nails like in this mani.  After I did these on Sunday night I realized "hey, I think I've done these exact nails before"...but it was bedtime so I stuck with it.  Hopefully I don't accidentally copy myself again!

UberChic Beauty Holiday 2019 Nail Polish Swatches

Press  Sample

Hey there!  Here's something I haven't done in awhile - a straight swatch post.  Well I did manage to sneak in some nail art too...I couldn't resist.  For those that don't know, UberChic Beauty has been dipping her toes into the nail polish creation world and she's doing great!  Her first Halloween polishes sold out and now she's come up with a holiday trio and a special Black Friday polish.  I've genuinely worn these (separately from swatching them) and I love them.  There's something almost magical about their mix of holo and shimmer.  I'll be listing the regular price BUT I have it on good authority that there will be some special Black Friday pricing which will make these a steal!  Get these while you can.  They are limited edition so they will not be restocked.

UberChic Beauty Stamping Polish and New Stampers

Press  Sample

Hey there!  Today I have the first of many UberChic Beauty posts I have lined up for the next week or so.  She's been on a roll with new products lately so there's lots to show off!  I'm starting out with some new essentials: her new regular stamping polish and 3 brand new stampers.

Maniology November 2019 Mani X Me Box Review

Affiliate Code

Hey there!  I'm so excited to be back today with a new Mani X Me post.  I haven't been able to do one of these for months so it was awesome to be able to play with Maniology's subscription box again.  November's box (which is available only until the 23rd) is winter-themed with 2 exclusive stamping plates and 2 stamping polishes.  Each month's box comes with an extra goodie.  In November it is a latex-free Mani Mask (which in itself is worth $9 if you buy it on its own).  If you're new to the Mani X Me subscription, you can save $5 on your first box by using the coupon code COPY10 which is maybe a bit of extra incentive.  The biggest incentive, in my opinion, is that Maniology tends to include the most delicious gummy candies I've ever eaten.  I love nail stuff but I just might like that candy even more.

The Digit-al Dozen does Games - Casino Games and Sports

Press  Sample

Hey there!  Once again, I fell behind on The Digit-al Dozen posting last week so I'm finishing up today.  Our theme was Games.  I had already done a videogame, an iPhone game and a board game so I was running out of games.  But I guess casino games and sports are games too so that's what I did.  The only thing I think I missed on was mind games...but I've had enough of those in my lifetime!

The Digit-al Dozen does Games- Pac-Man Nails

Hey there!  My third mani for The Digit-al Dozen's Games week is my favourite of them all.  I have some vague memories of playing Pac-Man at a stand up arcade machine when I was little but I have nooooo idea where I might have done that since I never went to an arcade.  I'd be willing to bet it was my dad who let me and my sister play though...maybe while he was grocery shopping or something!  No matter who it was who let me play, it's still the most iconic arcade game to me hence it's showing up on Games week.

The Digit-al Dozen does Games - Pokemon Go Nails

Hey there!  I'm not gonna lie, I was struggling with trying to think of games to put on my nails for this weeks theme so I flipped through my binder of stamping plates (well, really, it's a binder of print outs since flipping through pages of stainless steel is HEAVY) and remembered that I bought a Pokemon Go stamping plate awhile back that I hadn't used yet which would be perfect.  I am a grown woman who still opens that Pokemon Go app daily.  I don't walk and walk and walk like I used to but it's still fun to collect those cute little Pokemon.

The Digit-al Dozen does Games- Checkers Nails

Hey there!  It's time for a new Digit-al Dozen week.  I'm really hoping to not fall behind again so I'm doing a quick blog post before bed.  This month our theme is "Games".  I'm starting with a some simple nail art for some checkers nails.  I have no memory of ever playing checkers...can you believe it.  I feel like everyone must have played such an iconic game but I seriously can't remember it for myself.  Oh well, at least I can wear it on my nails.

2019 Summer/Autumn UberChic Beauty Releases

Press  Sample

Hey there!  In my blogger-slackness I have a big backlog of UberChic Beauty releases that I haven't posted which has included tons of new stamping plates, a couple of gorgeous polishes and some nail care items.  I feel terrible that I haven't gotten these up until now.  Once I'm a bit behind I fall WAY behind and that's where I am now.  However I'm excited that I'm finally sharing them since all the items are the usual amazing quality I've come to expect from Brittany.  I even have a few more at home so you can expect some of the really new releases to be found here soon!  But in the meantime, buckle in for a ton of nail goodness!

The Digit-al Dozen does Colors That Collide - Autumn Gradient with Stamping

Hey there!  Tonight's post is my attempt at finishing up a Digit-al Dozen theme for the first time in 3 months.  I gotta say, with moving and another major personal life change, nails have really taken a backburner but that's gotta stop.  Nails make me so happy, especially the DD group!  Hence me forcing myself to finish this month, just a week late.  Our theme of Colours That Collide made for some fun ways to make color collisions for me.  Gradients are definitely my favourite way of getting colors all up close and personal with each other so that was my final technique of the week.  Since I stuck with fall-colors for the rest of the week, this one is no different.

The Digit-al Dozen does Colors That Collide - Autumn Fluid Nail Art

Hey there!  For my fourth Digit-al Dozen Colors That Collide mani, I decided to try my hand at fluid nail art again.  I was super inspired after seeing Cathy of More Nail Polish's week of fluid nail art designs.  Since I've been sticking with fall colors this week, I did mine with Painted Polish's fall stamping cremes from a couple of years ago.  I've had this one for two straight days and I'm still loving it.  I just hate how much polish this kind of nail art takes, especially since I don't have much of the cell-creating polishes and no easy way to get more.

The Digit-al Dozen does Colors That Collide - Autumn Layered Stamping

Hey there!  Hope everyone has had a lovely Thursday.  It's Day 4 of The Digit-al Dozen's Colors That Collide week (though only my third post cause I still haven't caught up).  I was googling autumn colors and saw this picture which became my inspiration for this collision of colors.  I ended up really liking it.  It might end up being my favourite of the week.

The Digit-al Dozen does Colors That Collide - Halloween Splatter Nails

Hey there!  I'm a bit late tonight.  I decided that going out with one of my best pals and my sis was worth having to blog a bit later than usual.  And it totally was.  It was such a fun night!  And these were my mani for the night!  For my second Colors That Collide mani, I thought a splatter mani definitely represents a collision of nail polish.  Unfortunately the colors were just boring old black and white but I used the most amazing flakie orange polish base resulting in a pretty fun halloween design.

The Digit-al Dozen does Colors That Collide - Autumn Camo

Hey there!  Yup, I'm the worst!  I haven't blogged in a month and I'm already a day late for this month's first Digit-al Dozen day.  I've really got to get my priorities in check.  I didn't even finish blogging last month's theme even though I had them all done.  But I'm determined to get this month's done, even if I'm late!  This month our group is doing a theme of Colors That Collide.  At first I just thought I'd do contrasting colors but nah, let's go with colors smashing into each other!  For the last week I've been a little obsessed with fall colors so I think I'll just do fall colors this week.  I'm not sure why.  It's been fall here for quite awhile (seriously, it never did feel like summer this year) but there's a single tree I drive by on my way home from work that I'm in love with.  It's a lovely red to yellow gradient, all on its own so I think it's the tree's fault.  Or maybe it's that we've already had some flurries so I need to get my fall nails in while I can!

The Digit-al Dozen does Wool/Copper - Sheep Nail Stamping

Hey there!  I'm 3 days late for this post but better late than never right?!  Since The Digit-al Dozen's theme this week is wool AND copper, I kind of wanted to alternate between them.  I couldn't think of a lot of wool nail art ideas but where does wool come from?  Sheep!  Luckily I have exactly two sheep stamping images in my entire collection so I used them both for this design.

The Digit-al Dozen does Wool/Copper with UberChic Beauty Lovely Leaves 4

Press  Sample

Hey there!  Yes, I'm alive!  I realize I haven't posted in a month and never explained...but I bought a house!  So over the last month I was on vacation for 2 weeks (such an adult decision to go on vacation in the middle of the most stressful time ever), packed up and cleaned the old apartment, moved, unpacked and spent more money than I have in my entire life since it turns out houses need far more furniture than apartments.  And, of course, I broke most of my nails in the process which was okay because I was kind of checked out of nail world for awhile.  But I'm back just in time for this month's Digit-al Dozen theme of Wool/Copper (the traditional 7th anniversary gifts since September marks the DD's 7th year in existence).  I haven't done any manis ahead of time but I did pull out my stamping goodies last night so I wouldn't have to miss this week.  As I was moving I received some new plates from UberChic Beauty so I thought I'd combine the Lovely Leaves 4 plate with some copper stamping since copper is such a perfect autumn color.

Indie Pickup August 2019 - Hit The Bottle Lightshow

Press  Sample

Hey there!  Well it's vacation time for me but I seem to have enough cell signal that I'm not totally offline which is a nice change.  It's a good thing too since I didn't have a chance to post Hit The Bottle's contribution to Indie Pickup this month before I left.  Lightshow is a linear holographic top coat.  I tried it out over both white and black and it's a lovely top coat to add a bit of sparkle to any mani!

Maniology Mani X Me Box July 2019

Affiliate Code

Hey there!  I hope everyone is having a great day.  I know I've been saying I'm pretty behind in my blogging because of general life stuff.  In fact I'm so far behind that I didn't get to play with this month's Mani X Me Box until just last night and it's the last day to order it.  In fact, it might be too late today to get the Metamorphosis box but, if you email them, the lovely folks at Maniology might hook you up.  For anyone who doesn't know, the Mani X Me box is a monthly subscription box with 2 exclusive plates, 2 polishes and an extra.  July's box was all about bugs, both the creepy-crawly kind and the pretty kind.  I really liked this month's plates so I'm disappointed in myself for not getting to it sooner.  Hopefully you can still get your hands on it and, if you can, please use the coupon code COPY10 to save $5 off your first box.

Hit The Bottle Chrome Sweet Chrome Stamping Polish Swatches

Press  Sample

Hey there!  I'm back today with more stuff I've been waiting to post.  Hit The Bottle released a collection of pastel metallic stamping polish this year called "Chrome Sweet Chrome" and they are superb!  I received them to review from one of Hit The Bottle's distributors, Beautometry, who just so happens to be having a preorder on all of the out-of-stock shades going right now.  Usually I find that when a polish is chrome, it's always really silvery and loses its color but Michelle has managed to get that metallic finish without losing any of the vibrance.  Aren't they lovely?

Maniology Classique Stamping Plates

Affiliate Code

Hey there!  I've had the Classique plates from Maniology for quite awhile but they sold out so quickly that I've held back on posting about them until they're back in stock.  And this weekend I got the email that they're back!!  These two plates are wonderful for making simple (you might even say classic) manis but are also great for those of us that like to jazz it up just a little bit more. I wasn't remotely surprised at how quickly they sold out since these should be staples in everyone's stamping plate collection.  If they strike your fancy, please use the coupon code COPY10 to save yourself 10%!

The Digit-al Dozen does Christmas In July - Christmas Flamingos!

Hey there!  After my last couple of posts (which were pretty blech) I'm happy to be ending The Digit-al Dozen's Christmas In July week with one that I think is pretty darn cute.  Seriously, what's better than flamingos in Santa hats?  Nothing, that's what!

The Digit-al Dozen does Christmas In July - Neon Santa

Hey there!  It's Day 4 of The Digit-al Dozen's Christmas In July week and today's mani is pretty much a nail fail.  I wanted to do typical holiday images but in neon so it would be summer-y but I was clearly not on my game the night I did these.  Once I put the picture on the computer I wasn't happy so I did another neon holiday mani but it was even worse!  So I gave up and stuck with this one.  But I promise, tomorrow's mani won't suck so bear with me...

The Digit-al Dozen does Christmas In July - Santa Flying Over The Tropics

Hey there!  I know, it's pretty late to be getting up a Digit-al Dozen post but gotta fit in the blogging when I can...ya know?  For today's Christmas In July design, I wanted to have Santa and his reindeer flying over a tropical sunset.  I also wanted that sunset to be snowing but that got pretty hidden...but the thought was there!
