Maniology November 2019 Mani X Me Box Review

Affiliate Code

Hey there!  I'm so excited to be back today with a new Mani X Me post.  I haven't been able to do one of these for months so it was awesome to be able to play with Maniology's subscription box again.  November's box (which is available only until the 23rd) is winter-themed with 2 exclusive stamping plates and 2 stamping polishes.  Each month's box comes with an extra goodie.  In November it is a latex-free Mani Mask (which in itself is worth $9 if you buy it on its own).  If you're new to the Mani X Me subscription, you can save $5 on your first box by using the coupon code COPY10 which is maybe a bit of extra incentive.  The biggest incentive, in my opinion, is that Maniology tends to include the most delicious gummy candies I've ever eaten.  I love nail stuff but I just might like that candy even more.

Frozen

The first polish in the box is Frozen, a pearly white.  I will admit I was hesitant with this since I usually find pearl finishes to be streaky to apply but this one was good.  I did two coats with it and then sponged on a bit after the second coat was dry to smooth it out but, even with regular application, it wasn't a streaky mess (you can see two coats with regular application in the Mani Mask photo).  It's easily the best pearl white I've used.  It also stamps great, with a wintery silver look, as you can see further down as well.

Sugarplum

Sugarplum is a dusty dark pink creme.  It's a very different pink from Maniology's previous releases.  It seems to be quite the trendy color this year since I've seen other brands with similar shades.  It applied easily and was fully opaque at one coat (though I still always swatch at two coats in case my camera picks up any sheerness I don't see with my naked eye) and it stamps as opaquely as it applies regularly.

MXM019

MXM019 is all about the snowflakes.  I LOVE this plate since it can be used in some beautiful layered looks OR you can use the images all on their own.  I tried both for the manis I did with it.

Base Polish: Maniology Frozen
Stamping: Maniology Shibori, Jazzercise and Bam White!
Top coat: Vibrant Vinyls Fast & Hard

Base Polishes: Maniology Sugarplum, Sinful Colors Black On Black and Joss Desert Sun
Stamping and Dotting: Maniology Sugarplum
Top Coat: Vibrant Vinyls Fast & Hard

MXM020

MXM20 continues with the winter theme with snow and icicles and, most importantly, snowmen!  It's kind of the snowmen equivalent to their grumpy flowers plate with lots of bodies, faces and accessories.  Also, there's those trees.  I've probably done more tree silhouette manis than anyone in history (often with previous Maniology plates) and I never tire of them.

Base Polishes: Gradient of Maniology Sugarplum, Sassy and Shibori
Stamping: Maniology Straight Up Black and Bam White!
Top Coat: Vibrant Vinyls Fast & Hard

Base Polish: Maniology Tranceland with random gradient with Maniology Jazzercise and Shibori topped with Quixotic Polish Queen Mary
Stamping: Maniology Shibori and Frozen
Reverse Stamping: Maniology Straight Up Black filled with Frozen and Sugarplum
Top Coat: Tonic Polish Liquid Velvet

Latex-Free Mani Mask

The final item in the box is the Latex-Free Mani Mask.  The formula is quite thin but it applies easily and doesn't really pool in the crevices.  It dries quickly which is great.  At first I didn't think I'd like it since it's not sticky and stretchy but I ended up absolutely LOVING it.  Once it's dry, I found the edges stick up just a little which makes it easy to grab and pull right off in one piece.  I used it for every mani here (which includes gradients and, of course, stamping) and there was next to no clean up to do!

Each Mani X Me box is available until the 23rd of the month so you'll have to decide quickly on this one...though I do hear that you can email them later and see if they have any leftover.  If you're new to the Mani X Me box, in addition to the products shown here, you also receive a clear Ice Cube Stamper with your first order.  I've seen the preview of December's box as well and it's equally amazing and less season-dependent which might appeal to some.

$20-25 USD/month (depending on subscription length)
