Hey there! Last week I showed you a few things I did with UberChic Beauty's 16th collection of stamping plates and today I have Collection 17. I've been a fan of UberChic from the beginning. This collection certainly doesn't do anything to dissuade me. It keeps up with Brittany's style and creativity which I love. I wore these looks last week and really enjoyed them. Some of them were simple but still lovely - gotta love something that's quick but still looks good, amirite or what?!
For anyone new to the world of UberChic Beauty, welcome and be prepared to be addicted. The standard UberChic Beauty plates are 9.5 x 14.5 cm with the full nail images measuring 17 x 21 mm. That being said, there's plenty images that are larger or smaller than that as well, which you'll be able to see on the individual plate images. This collection has quite a few geometric and damasque style images. There's also some florals, especially on the third plate.
17-01
The first images that jumped out at me this collection collection were these layered leaves. I knew immediately what I wanted to do with them. I layered them over A England Camelot with Mundo de Unas Green and Gold. It was so fast and one of my favourites I did with Collection 17.
For this one I stamped with Hit The Bottle Drop Red Gorgeous over Lacquester Doomed Diva. Again, super fast and pretty to wear.
17-02
I never tire of mosaic looks so I knew I had to try out the one included on plate 17-02. For these I have a stamper/smoosh/squish marble base of Sally Hansen White On and Essie Chinchilly and Now and Zen that I stamped with Messy Mansion Carbon and topped with Clearly On Top. The base didn't photograph that well but you can see it better in the second photo.
Since i love all things neons and gradients, I also really liked this next look. It's a gradient of Color Club Foxy Mama, Kapok and Right On (over a white base) stamped with Mundo de Unas Black. The white flowers on the accent nail were done with the advanced stamping method and Color Club French Tip.
17-03
My first 17-03 design is a mix of advanced and layered stamping. I coloured in the little flowers from the upper left image with A England Gloriana and Revlon Bold Gold and applied them over a white base. I then stamped the pattern that goes around the flowers with Bold Gold. I did have a bit of problems with scraping the flower image since it's a corner image. I had to scrape in both directions to get it clean. That might just have been my plate but it's something to keep in mind.
My final look was some easy geometric stamping over ILNP Easy Street with Mundo de Unas Black. This one might have looked better if my nails were bigger. But it goes to show you how long your nails can be and still work with UberChic Beauty images. They're definitely big enough for most folks!
A little birdie told me there might be something new released tomorrow (May 12th) so maybe you could check out Collection 17 along with the new goodies that are coming our way.
