The Digit-al Dozen does Fashion - Sailor Stripes

Hey there!  It's time for this month's Digit-al Dozen theme.  I'm not gonna lie.  This is not a theme I have any insight into.  We're doing Fashion and, if I were to do a week worth's of manis for my personal style, we'd have 5 days of solids colors (mostly black or grey) with maybe a day of stripes.  So I hit the internet and found some outfits I could use as inspiration.  Funny enough, the first one I have is, in fact, stripes.

Mostly I found photos on Pinterest to copy for this week so I don't know anything about them but I found this on Elle so I know it comes from Ralph Lauren...and I've even heard of him.  Win!

To do these I used a white base (Pure Ice Superstar!) and skinny straight Nail Vinyls.  The light blue is Sally Hansen Set Sail, the dark blue is Essence Sunset Paradise and the red is Sally Hansen Rapid Red.  It's a purely drugstore brand mani so it's nice and inexpensive (probably unlike the inspiration outfit).  

I'll apologize here for some of the designs I'll be bringing you this week but I'm looking forward to checking out the inspiration from the rest of my Digit-al Dozen friends.  I want to see how other girls look at fashion!  You can see the first of their designs in the links below.
