The Digit-al Dozen does Albums - The Police's Zenyatta Mondatta

Hey there!  I have a confession to make.  I honestly hadn't even heard of the album I picked for my final Digit-al Dozen mani this week.  I just had the itch to do a gradient and this album cover starts with a gradient so I went with it.  The Police's Zenyatta Mondatta was released in 1980.  I wasn't even 2 years old and it doesn't have that many big hits on it so I guess it isn't a big shock that I don't know it.  But it did make for some fun nails!

Here's a look at the album cover.  I love it so much.  I seriously can never get enough gradients in my life.

I knew I wanted the colors to pop so I started with a white base (KBShimmer Eyes White Open).  Since it was soooo late at night when I did these, I used Esmaltes da Kelly Animals polishes for the gradient.  They're crazy opaque so I only had to sponge each nail once.  Stamping polishes are so great for gradients.

The colors in the gradient, from cuticle to tip  are Tris, Gilda, Joanna, Chuvisco and Max.  It appears I had some bumpiness or sponge bits left at the end of this.  I did mention it was really late right?  I think I finished these at about 2 am on a weekday.  I was just a tad tired at work the next day.

To finish, I stamped with Esmaltes da Kelly Allan with Maniology's BM-XL202.  This plate is from when they were still Bundle Monster but it's still available and it is great.  If you're interested, here is the link...and you can use the code COPY10 to save 10% on it!

The only song I even know from this album is Don't Stand So Close To Me.  But listening to it now, it sounds super inappropriate.  Man, people could get away with too much in the 80's!

That brings us to the end of this month's Digit-al Dozen week.  I hope you have time to check out everyone else's final manis in the links below.  And I also hope you have a great Easter weekend!

'Til next time...
