Maniology @sweetfactionnails Rub-On Nail Decals

Hey there!  I'm popping in on a Saturday to quickly share a product from Maniology that isn't a stamping plate.  I'm certainly a fangirl of their stamping plates but they do make other nail art products as well!  Today's mani was all done with their @sweetfactionnails Rub-On Nail Decals.  Keep reading to find out what rub-on decals actually are.  Maniology is the only company I've come across that makes them and they're really fun!

Rub-on decals are sort of a combination of water decals (except that there's no water involved) and those fun rub-on transfers we had when we were kids.  You just paint your nails (I used white) and when they're dry, cut the transfers to approximately fit your nails and then rub away!  For the rubbing, I used a silicone tool.

The decals came off their plastic backing quite easily.  They tended to wrinkle when they did that but it was easily smoothed back out.  I even managed to use some of the smaller ones from the first sheet on top of the gradient decals.  I thought that was pretty neat.

The full nail decals come in a wide of sizes.  I used the narrowest gradients for my index and pinky and they just fit.  None seemed to fit my giant thumb nails perfectly.  After application, it was easy to remove any excess with acetone and a clean up brush.  And top coat didn't affect them at all (I used Vibrant Vinyls Fast & Hard top coat).

Overall these were a fun find.  I do love stamping but decals like these can give you way more detail in your nail art than stamping ever could.  Don't you think these could make a great design to wear to school now that that is starting up again?  Coolest kid in the class!
