Whats Up Nails B016 Hypnotic Illusions Stamping Plate

Press  Sample

Hey there!  And Happy New Year!  I'm starting out 2019 with a look at a stamping plate from Whats Up Nails.  This is the B016 Hypnotic Illusions.  And the name is pretty darn accurate.  I just looked at the website to grab the link and I swear the lines were moving...that's pretty darn freaky!  Hopefully the designs I did when them don't mess with your eyeballs too much.  The plate is great quality so I have no issues to report on it.  You really can't go wrong with any Whats Up plates, at least not the ones I've tried.  As you can see, I was a bit tired of winter-y nails so I went bright and fun to try this plate out.

My first mani was something I always struggle with - radial gradients.  This time I tried to use one of those round sponge tools thinking that would be the trick but it was still challenging.  Apparently I don't know where the centre of my nail it, haha!  But I love how these turned out in the end.  I used Moonflower Polish Sprinkles as the base and then sponged on I Just Can't Wait, Summer Sunset and Lemonade.  For the stamping I used Violeta and finished with Vibrant Vinyls top coat.

This one started with a black base (my go-to, A England Camelot) and stamped with blobs of Peacock Shimmer, Hello Buttercup and Paint The Town Violet.  It looks like a very psychedelic zebra.  To finish I used Vibrant Vinyls You Matte-r top coat.

I really hope you like my first post of 2019 and that you'll stick around with me throughout the year.  I have quite a few stamping plates to review for you over the next couple of weeks and then we'll have the first Digit-al Dozen week of the year.  It's a great theme this month so I think you'll enjoy it. But in the meantime, if you like this plate, you can shop at Whats Up Nails online store for it and any of your other nail art needs.
