Maniology M017 Radio Riot Stamping Plate Review

Hey there!  Happy Friday!!  I have another Maniology stamping plate review to share today before I head home for the weekend.  This is the M017 Radio Riot stamping plate.  It is chock full of images for all of us music lovers out there.  But it's really not just music images.  There's even a plaid image (which will always make me think of the 90's, my true love of music eras).  Seriously you have to check out the plate image down below to really get a sense of what this plate it about.  It's just coooollll.  And you can save 10% on it using my COPY10 code, making it even more economical.

Other than the plaid, the first thing I was drawn to on this plate was the tombstone with the "So it goes..." transcription.  I don't know why but I thought that was funny.  Then I immediately thought that the crow from the teacup image would look great perched on there so that's what I did first.

As a base I used Emily de Molly Save Your Boredom.  Isn't that a cool shimmer?  Then I did all the stamping with Mundo de Unas Black.  For the tombstone/crow combination, I did a bit of reverse stamping with Mundo de Unas Light Grey and Dark Grey.  I also included the sound waves image that reminded me of a heart rate monitor.  It would've been even funnier if I had made it flatline after the tombstone but I guess I wasn't in that dark of a mood that day which is probably a good thing...

Seeing as that I'm a bit older, I also couldn't resist the cassette and headphones images.  I made soooo many mixtapes off the radio when I was young.  And they were almost all some dollar store variety that was red so it wasn't an option for this to not be a red mani in my mind.

I used Girly Bits Rust In The Wind and Just The Flax Ma'am as my base colors here.  I double stamped the grungy nails with Greyzed and Confused and Just The Flax Ma'am.  The reverse stamping was again done with Mundo de Unas Black, filled in with Rust In The Wind and Greyzed and Confused.  The red seems to bleed into the nude base a bit making it have a yucky yellow tinge.  This is the second time I've had that issue with these two polishes so I think I need to accept that they can't be friends.  But that's not about the plate.  The images worked great!

And with that, my work week is done!  Just in time to go home and play with the new Maniology plates that arrived for me yesterday.  So, just a heads up, if you like stars and space at all you're likely going to want January's Mani X Me box and keep your eyes open for a late January release.  They're AMAZING!  I'm glad that my next week or so will be dedicated to them.
