The Digit-al Dozen does Marble - Baggie Marble Nails

Hey there!  It's Day 3 of The Digit-al Dozen's Marble Week.  Since I don't schedule my posts ahead of time (because I'm rarely that organized) I thought today's winter-y nails would be appropriate since it's starting to snow here tonight.  In Edmonton you never know if that is going to mean just a few flurries or a full on blizzard along with deepfreeze temperatures.  Fingers are crossed for just a few flurries!

For today's marble I used the baggie technique.  I don't know why I don't do this more since I really like the results.

I started with a base of KBShimmer Eyes White Open.  I waited until the first was try, put on another thickish coat and then added blobs of Low and Be Bold, Stonewashed, Sky Jinks, Little Boy Hue and Soul Deep.  Then squished the nail between two layers of a plastic sandwich bag.  Voila!  It looks like a storm!

I also added some stamping with Creative Shop 42 and Mundo de Unas White.  Unfortunately it ended up a bit smudged-looking.  I think the etching on this plate might be TOO deep and, combined with the thick stamping polish, it was impossible for me to get a crisp image.  Oh well...

That brings me to the end of Day 3.  I'm even more late than usual today since I was out for my bestie's 40th birthday dinner.  She doesn't read this but Happy Birthday Tash anyway!

'Til next time...
