I decided for my first color collision of the week, that I wanted to do a sort of stippled camo base but with reds, oranges and yellows instead of camo colors. It was about 11:30 pm last night when I started these so I'm glad it turned out to be a relatively quick technique. It also explains why I didn't stop to take a pic of the base on its own before I stamped. I really didn't want to redo the nail art barrier I had on them!
I used a white base first and then a little brush to apply a bunch of Hit The Bottle Colors, all over and on top each other. I used Spun Gold, To Have and To Gold, Burnt Orange, Copper-Haired Girl, Drop Red Gorgeous and Poison Apple.
For the stamping, I used Whats Up Nails B021 and Hit The Bottle As Black As Night before finishing up with Seche Vite top coat. I usually use indie top coats and I'm remembering why. The shrinkage ends up so bad with this top coat the next day. But it was cheap at Winners so I couldn't resist. Hopefully I can get back to my beloved Vibrant Vinyls top coat soon since I have some serious nail art to do this week for this theme.
That's it for today. It feels good to be back online so hopefully I can keep it up finally!
'Til next time...
Liking this one :-D
