Clear Jelly Stamper Under The Sea Stamping Plate

Press  Sample

Hey there!  As I mentioned last week, I was recently sent the latest Clear Jelly Stamper layered stamping plates to test out.  Today I have a mani I did with CJS09, also known as the Under The Sea plate.  I always love underwater scenes on my nails and this plate made it super easy.  Keep reading to hear all about it.

A scan of CJS09 (Under The Sea) is shown below.  It has a great mix of images to be used for an underwater mani - bubbles, jellyfish, fish, seahorse, octopus, coral, starfish and vegetation.  The layering effect achieved with some of these images are even better than making decals (but much quicker).  For example, the fish has 4 different layers so you can have the fish in one color, the scales outlined in another and the overall outline in another.  Did I mention it's also faster?  That's definitely the main reason I love these layering plates.

After using Starrily Blitzen in a decal not long ago I knew I wanted to use it as a base.  I applied one coat and then sponged more on to make it opaque.  Then I got to the stamping.  I used Mundo de Unas Avocado, Geranium, Mexican Pink, Tutti, Barbie, Sunflower, Silver and White.  For the outline stamps I used Mundo de Unas Black.

For all of the stamping I used the Crystal Clear Stamper.  As far as regular sized clear stampers go, this one is my go-to.  I don't know what makes it different from the other clear stampers I have but it just works the best in my hands.

I'm proud to say that Clear Jelly Stamper is a fellow Canadian and the original inventor of clear stampers and layered plates.  Not long ago I saw someone asking who really invented them and a bunch of us commented that it was indeed Clear Jelly Stamper.  We should all be very thankful for such a great invention.  And she just gave all my lovely readers a 10% off coupon code so if you're interested in her products, you can get a nice discount.
