The Digit-al Dozen does Re-Creations: Day 5 Concentric Dotticure

Hey there!  It's the final day of one of my favourite Digit-al Dozen weeks to date, Re-Creation week.  I'm so sad to see this week done.  The ladies of the group are such amazing nail artists that it's been really fun to see their takes on everyone's past manis.  For today I have a dotticure, originally done by Jacki of Adventures In Acetone.  After trying this for myself, I give her mad props for the number of dots she managed to get on her nails...I didn't even come close!

Jacki's mani was inspired by the artist, Elspeth McLean, who appears to specialize in a crazy level of dotillism.  I flipped through her photos and thought "that would take FOREVER".

For my nails, I didn't have the exact polishes that Jacki used so I had to improvise with what I had.  For the base I used Zoya Dove and then went to town with the dotting tools.  The polishes used were:

Ring finger
Zoya Tilda, China Glaze Glass is Lime Greener, OPI Uh-Oh Roll Down The Window, Zoya Cecilia, KBShimmer Sky Jinks, KBShimmer Eyes White Open

Middle finger
OPI Casino Royale, Mod About You, Zoya Pepper, OPI Coca- Cola Red, OPI Where Did Suzi’s Man-Go?, KBShimmer Eyes White Open

I got a lot of compliments on these when I did them.   All I can say is thank goodness Jacki didn't dot all her nails :-)

Now that the week is over (*sad face*) let's see what the other girls have done for their final re-creation in the links below.

'Til next time...
