Lacquer Lust Unicorn Porn & Bundle Monster Tinsel

Nothing to Disclose
Press  Sample

Hey there!  How was everyone's weekend?  Mine was pretty great.  I spent most of it playing with 10.1 Polish's Sheer Holos collection (I'll be sharing some of the results later this week) and I spent some time at my parents' place.  My lovely dad put my winter tires on my car and my darling mom made me Sunday dinner.  I love that I have such good parents even though I'm fully grown...I bet they never thought they'd be taking care of me this long :-P

Today's post features a nail polish I had to have paired with some Bundle Monster tinsel strips to create a sparkly rainbow look.

I honestly couldn't resist buying Lacquer Lust Unicorn Porn entirely based on its name.  I think it's hilarious.  It helps that it's just gorgeous.  It's a clear base filled with holographic silver glitter and translucent multi-colored glitters.  There's something about translucent glitters that I just love, like in Polish Me Silly Clowning Around.  This is three coats of Unicorn Porn plus top coat.

I then decided Unicorn Porn would pair nicely with these iridescent tinsels that I received from Bundle Monster.  I received the 7 piece set but they are also sold as individual colors.  They really are like Christmas tree tinsel.  I like the iridescent quality that they have (with the exception of gold and silver which are just opaque).  They reminded me of the fibre optic toys I used to get at the circus when I was little.

To use the tinsel, I used a white base and then cut and placed the tinsel on wet top coat.  I only used the silver, blue, orange and the two pink's here.  I did find this slightly difficult to work with because they are plastic-y so they're a bit stiff.  At first I tried to place them horizontally across my nail but had a hard time getting the ends to stick down because my nail bed is curved.

The tinsel strips are available from Bundle Monster for $7.99 for the set or as individual colors for $1.99 each.

'Til next time...
