Easter Nail Art Challenge

Hey there!  Today I'm finally sharing my submission for Nail Polish Canada's Easter Nail Art Challenge.  This challenge opened up over a week ago and I hemmed and hawed about what to create with so many cute Easter stamping images out there.  This is what I came up with...

Since I like showing the different stages of my manicures and this one had a few steps this might be a bit picture heavy.  I started with three coats of China Glaze Lemon Fizz, a muted yellow.  I really like this yellow (I can tell since my bottle is half empty) because it's not a blinding in-your-face yellow.  It's a great spring colour.

Then I added a saran wrap look by dipping little balls of saran wrap in China Glaze Lotus Begin and dabbing that onto my nail.  I don't know about anybody else but I find it easier to do saran wrap mani's this way rather than painting the second colour on fully and then dabbing some off.  Maybe I'm too slow because I can rarely get enough of the second colour off so I don't see a lot of base showing through.

Then I added stamping decals I made with Mundo de Unas stamping polishes and white acrylic paint.  The bunny is from Winstonia W212 and the eggs are from Winstonia W105.  The stamping colours I used are Aqua (#25), Lavender (#49), Tulip (#51) and Geranium (#53).

I used the same grass image as I used yesterday from Vivid Lacquer VL019.  Here I did double stamping using Mundo de Unas Green (#8) and Lemon Tree (#52).  And I also added a few pearl coloured butterfly glitters.

So if you like what I did here, feel free to head on over to the Nail Polish Canada Easter Nail Art page and vote for me.  Or just head over there to check out the other awesome submissions from the other lovely nail art ladies :-)

'Til next time...
