The Digit-al Dozen does Color Contrasts: Stamping on Textured Polish
Hey there! It's almost the end of The Digit-al Dozen's Color Contrasts week. If you've seen mine so far this week, you'd probably think I'd have red and green paired up today. But I'm saving that one for tomorrow (and hoping I get a stamping plate I'm waiting for in the mail tonight so I can actually do what I have planned). For today, I did ALL the complementary colors in one mani. I wanted a yin yang-style reverse image and found this leaf image on a Born Pretty plate. It worked for what I wanted but holy it was tough to get the image to work!

The Digit-al Dozen does Color Contrasts - Blue and Orange
Hey there! It's mid-week for the Digit-al Dozen's Color Contrasts theme. I went with the next color combo on my list - blue and orange. Strangely it looks like I slept on this and got bed creases in it or something before I took photos. I don't know why on earth it doesn't look smooth and shiny...has my top coat failed me?! On the plus side, it's blue and orange and white - the colors of Edmonton's hockey team. I think maybe that's why I always love these colors together. Or maybe it's just because I like the blue family so much that I like it with pretty much any other color.

The Digit-al Dozen does Color Contrasts: Purple and Yellow
Hey there! The nail art I have today to continue the Digit-al Dozen's Color Contrasts week is a bit of a contradiction. I did use contrasting colors (purple and yellow) but the technique I chose to use blended them up a bit so I lost some of the contrast. I love the drip marble technique so much that this is easily my favourite mani of the week, contrast or no! The only thing I don't love about this is the fact that I had been playing with silver chrome pigment in the days before and that stuff is impossible to get rid off so all my nails from that week have little bits of sparkle stuck to them....Grrrrrrr!

The Digit-al Dozen does Color Contrasts: Black and White
Hey there! It's time for a new Digit-al Dozen week (pretty much the only week that I force myself to consistently post). This month our theme is "Color Contrasts" - a theme that should bring us lots of awesome nail art. In general, my way to interpret this prompt was to go with complementary colors - those that are opposite each other on the color spectrum. However, today I went with the basics - black and white. While they're technically not really colors, they definitely contrast each other!

26 Great Nail Art Ideas - Black Base
Hey there! Holy man I've been absent. Between my sadness about last week and then working and babysitting throughout my entire long weekend, I fell way behind on my blog. I hope that this upcoming week will be better since it's a new Digit-al Dozen week! In the meantime, I figured I should post this week's 26 Great Nail Art Ideas look, even if I'm a couple days late. Our theme was "Black Base", easy enough right? I was wearing this black from Kokie Cosmetics Rapid Gel line called Dark Room (hopefully I can get the review of it up this week) and decided to bust out the foils. I saw quite a few girls did foils. I love that so much of us went in the same directions...

Lina Nail Art Supplies Review
Press Sample
Hey there! Today I have a great new stamping plate brand with some really fun images and great quality. Lina Nail Art Supplies' online store opened about a month ago and I've seen so many awesome manis using her plates. I was lucky enough to be sent three of her plates to try out and I have to say, I'm impressed. With all the stamping brands out there these days, it sometimes feels like everything has already been done but Lina's brand has contradicted that. I was so inspired by these images. A couple of the manis I've done are so fun! I wore the splatter one for days and hated to take it off. Follow the jump to read all the details.

Nail Crazies Unite - Coffee
Hey there! Since Crumpet's Nail Tarts weekly challenge has changed to a biweekly, I missed having a set Friday schedule. So, even though I've been too tired to blog all week and I'm way behind in what I wanted to post, I joined a new group! Cheyenne and Rose have revived the Nail Crazies Unite group with a nail art challenge that will alternate with the 26 Great Nail Art Ideas challenge. Today's challenge of "Coffee" marks the beginning. I'm not a coffee drinker but who doesn't like a nice brown mani. Seriously, I love brown polish and never wear it so it was nice to break out a couple of them for this design.
