The Digit-al Dozen does Vampy: Marilyn Monroe Nail Art
Hey there! First off, Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians! I wish I could've done some turkey nails but it's a new Digit-al Dozen week and I'm not sure how I could've combined Thanksgiving with our Vampy theme. I love this theme and yet had massive conflicts with. I love dark vampy colors but had problems thinking of art to go with it. Seriously, my sister has said that she never want to hear the word vampy again after how many times I've said "I need one more vampy idea..." in the last month. I ended up doing way more than 5 designs for this theme before coming up with 5 I like (one of which I just did this morning). I'm starting with some Marilyn Monroe stamping because when I think of sexy, vampy ladies, she comes to mind.

UberChic Beauty Halloween-02 Review
Press Sample
Hey there! Well it's October so I'm allowing myself some Halloween nails, starting with this review of UberChic Beauty's second Halloween stamping plate. Her first Halloween plate was a hit and I think this one will be too. I've never had issues with UberChic's plates so I always jump at the opportunity to review them. This plate was easy to work with, as always. I've done four manis to kick off Halloween season which you can read about below.

Lilypad Lacquer Review
Press Sample
Hey there! I have a swatches of three polishes from the Australian indie brand, Lilypad Lacquer. I've done reviews of this brand before through an U.S. stockist but, this time, the lovely Nicole herself contacted me to ask if I'd be willing to review a few of her polishes. Since I've loved the other ones I've been able to try, of course I said yes! Lilypad Lacquer is a 5-free, hand-mixed, cruelty-free polish with a wide variety of finishes. I've tried flakies and holos personally and they've been wonderful. The ones I've tried for today's posts are all holographics that are also gorgeous. Keep reading to see all kinds of photos.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Earth Tones
Hey there! Sadly, it's the end of the 40 Great Nail Art Ideas challenge and I'm proud to say that I did every single week. Some were a struggle but I did it! We're hoping to do another challenge soon which makes me so happy. I love having to come up with ideas to fit specific themes. The final color prompt for the current challenge was earth tones which goes great with the autumn weather. I had the prompt of water color which I thought would turn out awesome. These didn't turn out like I expected but I suppose they are a blurry representation of Edmonton's lovely river valley so I'm trying not to think they're all bad.

Creative Shop Stamping Plate Review
Press Sample
Hey there! Hooray, it's almost the weekend! To kick it off I'm sharing three manis that I've worn recently, done with some of the new Creative Shop stamping plates. I wish the Creative Shop plates got more attention in the stamping world. I myself haven't been super aware of them but I'm glad that has changed. After receiving these, I spent some time on her website and snooped around and I really like a lot of the designs she has. I hope that my review here will open some more people's eyes to them and maybe we'll see them around more often. I was sent #16, 17 and 18 and thought the quality and the image were great. And, for those of you searching for long images, these are made for you. Keep reading to see all the details...

UberChic Beauty Great Outdoors Review
Press Sample
Hey there! Though summer is (sadly) officially over, it's not too late to enjoy some outdoor time so I thought today would be a good day to review UberChic Beauty's Great Outdoors mini stamping plate. There's something about this plate that has an autumn feel to it even though I think most of us do our camping in the warmer months. There is something amazing about being outside in the fall though. I spent last weekend at the cabin and it was amazing. The weather was warm and the leaves have all turned and, since it gets dark earlier now, I got to do some skywatching. The plate might not have stars on it but it does have trees and acorns and lots of other outdoors-y images. Keep reading to see what else it has.

HPB Presents Glitter Toppers
Hey there! The Hobby Polish Bloggers is a Facebook group full of folks like me who like nail polish so much that they feel the need to blog about it. Every month we have a little link up for anyone who feels like participating. This month our theme is Glitter Topper which gave me a good excuse to reach into those poor Helmer drawer that rarely see the light of day. I had so much fun with the first glitter topper that I used that I ended up doing two manis to go with the theme, both inspired by nail ladies I admire a ton.
