40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Festivals

Hey there!  It's time for another 40 Great Nail Art Ideas post.  This week we're doing Festivals/Hippies/Travel, a bit of a mishmash theme.  I decided to do a nail look that might be cool at a music festival.  It's been many years since I went to a festival.  I used to go to a lot of local music events but that was before Coachella and the like became so popular.  Since I'm so out of the loop on what would be cool, I decided to use Bundle Monster's Festival stamping collection (previously reviewed here).  Since this collection is all about festivals it must fit our theme this week, right?

Sharing The Love For @ane_li

Hey there!  Today's post is a sad one.  As I'm sure most people know by now, the nail art community recently lost a star, @ane_li on Instagram.  This girl was only 18 years old and such an inspiration to so many of us.  In her memory, we're doing re-creations of her art.  I can't come close to her perfection but wanted to honour her as best I could.  To see everyone's tributes or tag one of your own, you can use the hashtag #sharingtheloveforaneli.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Nude + Color

Hey there!  I'm writing this from the past since I want to make sure I don't break my perfect track record for the 40 Great Nail Art Ideas posts so I'm actually scheduling a post (I'm not usually organized enough to do that).  This week we're doing Nude + Color so I broke out the pipe dream polish Mellowed Out Cremes since the collection includes a nude and a bunch of color.  I had the personal prompt of swirls so I did a swirly water marble and then stamped even more swirls on top of it.  I hope you like it!

Hey there!  When Color4Nails announced that they were going to be the exclusive North American distributor for Bow Polish's new magnetic line of polishes I just knew there were going to be some that I was going to jump on as soon as possible which is exactly what I did.  I purchased half the collection but when I received my order I was pleasantly shocked to see the entire collection included so I'm posting the whole thing here.  The Bow Polish magnetics are really cool because there's two different finishes in this collection, the first being a straight up metallic finish (as all the magnetics I've tried before are) and the second being more of a shimmer-y, flakey finish.  I'll go into more of the difference between them below.

Hey there!  Second vacation post in a row, woohoo!  I guess after I get a few hours of pure Alberta sun, I'm worn out and need some inside time.  At least this time I've been keeping up with my sunblock so I'm not a toasted tomato!  Now that I'm chilling indoors, it's time to post this review of UberChic Beauty's Collection 10.  As usual UberChic Beauty has brought us a fun collection with all sorts of images.  Her collections never stick with a certain theme which is exactly why I like them.  I never know exactly what I want to put on my nails so, when starting a new mani, I do gravitate towards flipping through UberChic's collections for inspiration.

Hey there!  I'm on vacation this week but I may have been going through just enough Pokemon withdrawal that I drove 50 km to the nearest big-ish town to 1. try to catch some Pokemon and 2. write up a quick blog post.  I wanted to share the Powder Perfect Bermuda Triangle Trio that is currently available at Color4Nails since it is such a cute summer mini-collection of three perfectly bright, but not neon, cremes.  I liked them so much that I even brought them with me for my week away, even though I swatched them awhile ago.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Insects

Hey there!  This week's 40 Great Nail Art Ideas prompt is a fun one - insects!  Or maybe it's just a fun one for me since I have a strange love/hate relationship with bugs.  On one hand, I hate them buzzing around me but, on the other hand, I kind of enjoy hunting them down and taking photos of them at the lake (it's a good way to play with my macro lens for something other than my nails).  I had tried to do some beetle nails for this week but they were a fail so my sister suggested mosquitoes with splatter and I took her advice, as you can see.
