The Digit-al Dozen does Whimsy - Mermaids
Hey there! It's time for a new Digit-al Dozen week and we have a doozy of a theme - Whimsy. I can't even tell you how much time I spent googling what whimsy could mean and never really got a satisfying answer. But I settled on it meaning anything playful, fun or odd so I did a bit of everything this week. I couldn't get mythical creatures out of my head when I thought of whimsy so I did a lot of them starting with today's mermaids. I never get sick of mermaid nail art and I went all out on these ones...glitter with lots of stamping and bling! It's maybe a bit much but I'm rarely one for subtlety.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Floral
Hey there! Ahhhhh for the first time ever, I'm late with a 40 Great Nail Art Ideas post...I'm so sorry! But I'm back tonight with a quick post about our Floral theme. Normally for florals, I'd be all about the stamping but I wanted to do a dotting floral mani sort of in the style of two of my friends, Debbie and Lindsey. Mine is way simpler than anything they would do but they got skillz I don't have. Maybe one day I'll get there :-)

UberChic Beauty Collection 9 Review
Press Sample
Hey there! It's an exciting day...it's the release of a new UberChic Beauty stamping plate collection. Collection 9 is a 3 plate set with a summer feel without being a strictly summer collection. I've really enjoyed Brittany's collections since the beginning because there's no set theme to them. This was the final product Brittany passed onto me when I met her in February and I've been sitting on them waiting to share them since then...that's two months! I'm so happy that she's released them today so I can finally play with them. I have 6 manis that I've done with them so far. I hope they can provide a bit of inspiration for what you can do with this collection.

Clouds With Geometric Stamping
Hey there! Today's post isn't a review post, it isn't a group challenge post - it's something I wore just for me...woohoo! My sister watches Big Brother Canada and one night when she was watching I thought that the confessional room backdrop would make a great stamping mani. I knew that I had a stamping image similar to the pattern and knew just where it was... on Delush Polish's DP02 stamping plate. Here's my nails but, if you keep reading, you can see a photo I took of my TV when my sister was watching so you can see if I succeeded in recreating the background.

Celestial Cosmetics Color4Nails Exclusives and March LE
Press Sample
Hey there! Today I have swatches of three Celestial Cosmetics polishes, two of which are exclusive to Color4Nails. Color4Nails has introduced me to a lot of great brands and Celestial Cosmetics is definitely one of them. This indie brand from Australia makes hand-mixed, 5-free, cruelty-free polishes of great quality. I might be mistaken but Celestial Cosmetics was the first brand that I was aware of that did a Color4Nails exclusive collection (The Seven Kingdoms collection, way back in 2013). I purchased some of those back then and I continue to enjoy the Celestial/C4N collaborations. Celestial Cosmetics also does monthly limited edition polishes that Color4Nails stocks and, although it is May, today I have a swatch of March's LE polish.

UberChic Beauty Paris In Love Stamping Plate
Press Sample
Hey there! I have the last of the current mini UberChic Beauty stamping plates to review today. I did a mani with the new Paris In Love plate and I absolutely really like how it turned out. I even enlisted the help of a new francophone friend of mine to do the translating for me. You would think that after 8 years of French class that I'd know at least a bit of the language but nope, languages and my brain are definitely not best friends. However, despite my lack of French skills, I still love this plate. Have a look...

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - 3 Shades of Red/Orange
Hey there! Today I have my weekly instalment of Crumpet's Nail Tart's 40 Great Nail Art Ideas. This week's color prompt is 3 shades of red or orange which fit perfectly with my personal prompt of skittles. I've read that skittle nails are defined as either the same pattern with different colors or different patterns using the same color scheme. Since I already had to use 3 shades of orange or red, I went with the former. I actually tried to use 5 shades of orange but some of them get a bit lost...2 look the same, one looks red. Oh well, you're going to have to take my word for it that these really were different orange shades.
