The Digit-al Dozen does Cocktails - Old Fashioned

Hey there!  My second Digit-al Dozen cocktail mani is actually the only cocktail I've managed to think of on my own, without googling - the Old Fashioned.  And that's because my bestie Greg orders these pretty regularly.  The best part is, he always lets me eat the cherry (I have a bizarre love of maraschino cherries).  Sticking with the theme this week, these were done with entirely Hit The Bottle polishes.

Here's a look and recipe for an Old-Fashioned cocktail:

I honestly knew nothing about the history or how to make a proper Old Fashioned but from being adjacent to them, I figured they have some sort of brown booze, cherries and oranges and (hopefully) a giant ice cube so each nail is dedicated to those 4 things.

As base polishes I used Hit The Bottle Moonshine, Everyday I'm Truffling or Apricot Sour.

For the stamping, I used Drop Red Gorgeous, Moonshine, As Black As Night and Copper-Haired Girl with UberChic Beauty 9-01 (cherries and oranges) and Bottoms Up (ice cubes, text and tiny drink).  I finished with Vibrant Vinyls top coat.

So that's it for Day 2 of Cocktails week.  I think tonight I'll be indulging in my drink of choice (a pint of lager) but I might have to scan that menu for more nail art cocktail ideas!

'Til next time...
