The Digit-al Dozen does Cocktails - Blue Hawaiian

Hey there!  We're almost at the end of The Digit-al Dozen's Cocktails week.  This idea came from one of my labmates.  I asked him for some colourful cocktail ideas and he said a Blue Hawaiian.  So we googled and he said it should look layered since the pineapple juice goes in first and I jumped at the chance to do another bright gradient.  He also taught me that I've been saying "blue curaƧao" wrong my entire life.  I already forget the proper way of saying it and I'll probably go back to my very anglicized pronunciation but it was still good to hear that correct way...one more benefit to working with such a diverse group of folks like I do.

Here's a look at the Blue Hawaiian and its recipe.  I have to admit it sounds pretty delicious.

Today's gradient was done with Hit The Bottle Hello Buttercup, Sparkling Cyan-ide and Peacock Shimmer.

Since pretty much every Blue Hawaiian photo has a pineapple garnish (and how could they not since Hawaii and pineapples are pretty much synonymous), I added pineapple stamping with Maniology M051 and Hit The Bottle Banana Colada.  For top coat I used Vibrant Vinyls Fast & Hard.

That's all for today.  I haven't had a bite to eat today so even just looking at the pineapple stamping is making me hungry so I should probably remedy that soon!

 'Til next time...
