The Digit-al Dozen does Christmas In July - Christmas Beach Party

Hey there!  Long time, no talk!  I've been a bit of a mess lately so blogging hasn't been highest on my priority list.  But the reason is a pretty exciting one...I've been looking to buy a house and I think I found one!  It's been mighty stressful though.  I don't know how some people look for ages and ages looking for the perfect place.  I would probably develop 500 ulcers if I did that.  It's been about 2 months for me and that's plenty!  But, stress or not, I didn't want to miss our Digit-al Dozen week.  This month's theme is Christmas In July.  At first I hated the idea of the theme but it ended up being pretty fun.  For my first mani, I went with a beach party design.  Because even Santa and his elves deserve some relaxation time, tropical drinks and all!

This started with a lovely beach gradient of Cirque Colors Miami-Dade, High Roller and Topless In Times Square.  To give the sand a bit more dimension, I sponged on a little Fast Fashion but you can't really see it.  I must have sponged on too much Topless In Times Square back on top of it.

For the stamping I used UberChic Beauty's Christmas plates and beach plates, specifically Holiday Jingle, Merry Christmas, Beach Please and Bottoms Up (for the drinks). It was kind of weird digging out all my Christmas plates in the middle of summer.  In fact, they're still sitting out in my living room.  I guess I should put those away soon.

As you can see, it's all reverse stamping.  I colored the images in with Mundo de Unas White, Green, Red, Daylight, Caramel, Hit The Bottle Orange You Excited, Cirque Colours Game Over, Hedonist, Vitamin D and Miami-Dade and finished with Vibrant Vinyls top coat.

Wow, that's all I can say about my first blog post in 2 weeks.  I guess all the house hunting has stolen all my words.  Hopefully some of my friends in the links below are more interesting today!

'Til next time...
