The Digit-al Dozen does Holo - Snowflake Nails

Hey there!  Another late evening post from me.  I don't know how I keep getting so distracted and end up doing this when I should be doing my nails!  But at least I did make it for Day 3 of The Digit-al Dozen's Holo Week.  For today's post I wanted to use some of Moonflower Polish's recently released holos.  I thought it'd be fun to do a brightly coloured gradient with snowflakes....probably because it feels like we've been snow-covered for 100 years and I'm craving some color.  Though I do have to admit, where I live really does still have a huge bright blue sky.

These started as a gradient with Moonflower Polish Enchanted Rose, Amatista and Aquamarina (all super bright holos).  Usually I do my gradients over a base color but these are so opaque that I sponged them straight on.  No base color needed!

For the stamping I used Lina Nail Art Supplies Winter 01 and Moonflower Polish Noche.  At first I tried Obsidiana (the black holo) but so much sparkle obscured my snowflakes and we couldn't have that!  Noche was good.  Then I finished with Vibrant Vinyls top coat.

Pop down into the links below to see how everyone else attacked the Holo theme today.  There's been some pretty designs this week.  I think this was a great pick of themes for December, when maybe we all need a bit of sparkle.

'Til next time...
