Nail Crazies Unite - Neon

Hey there!  Today I have some very 80's-looking stamping to share.  This week's Nail Crazies Unite theme AND Nail Challenge Collaborative monthly theme is neon and I do love me some neon.  Unfortunately my camera doesn't share my feelings so it refuses to photograph bright colors.  In other words, as bright as these look, they were WAY brighter in real life!  These were inspired by some water decals I saw on Sveta Sanders Instagram but I can't seem to find the post now.  But that's okay, I enjoyed scrolling through all her posts anyway.

The Digit-al Dozen does Birthdays - June 2017

Hey there!  I'm back again today but for good reason!  Today is the day we celebrate The Digit-al Dozen's birthdays for the month.  June brings us Amy's birthday.  It's her first birthday as a mom so it's a special one.  Be sure to pop over to her blog to wish her a happy birthday month!  She wanted us to post some pink nails (her new baby is a girl so maybe that's why?) so I have my attempt at the pink quartz fad today.  Mine certainly didn't turn out like some of the gorgeous ones I've seen but it's pink so I hope Amy likes them anyway!

Delush Polish DP05, DP06 and DP07 Stamping Plate Review

Press  Sample

Hey there!  I literally just hit publish on my review of the new Delush Polish collection (which can be found here) but, excitingly, there's also going to be three brand new plates released tomorrow at 12 pm EST as well!  This is a huge stamping launch for Delush.  DP05 (Oopsie Daisy) is full of girly florals.  DP06 (Abstract Attraction) has more of a geometric or baroque feeling to it.  And DP07 (Unicorn Sparkle) is exactly like it sounds - full of whimsical fun!  I really enjoyed playing with all three of these plates so I hope you enjoy what I came up with.  All the details follow below...

Delush Polish Shades of Rays Collection

Press  Sample

Hey there!  Today I have the Shades of Rays collection from Delush Polish that will be debuting tomorrow and it is gorgeous!  This collection is absolutely perfect for the warmer months.  It includes a wide variety of colors and finishes.  That's one of my favourite things about Delush Polish collections.  Don't like glitter?  Don't worry, there's cremes.  Into thermals?  There's something for you too!  She's really got everybody covered with this collection.  She is also releasing three brand new stamping plates that I will have posted soon* but, in the meantime, check out these pretty polishes!

*edit - the stamping post is up and can be found here

UberChic Beauty Vacation Mode, Garden Love, Fourth of July and Mini Plate Folder

Press  Sample

Hey there!  Today might be the most summer-y post I've had this year.  UberChic Beauty recently came out with 3 new plates, Vacation Mode, Garden Love and Fourth of July, that are full of images that remind me of summer with UberChic's impeccable quality.  I adore all the plates.  I might not be a gardener or an American but I can still see myself using a bunch of the images on these plates so they're certainly not limited to those that identify as such.  And who doesn't love being in vacation mode?  I can't wait until I take a few weeks at the lake this summer.  UberChic also came out with a holder for her mini plates and I have a couple photos of that to show you too.  Keep reading for all the details.

Moonflower Polish Isla del Encanto Stamping Polish Review

Press  Sample

Hey there!  Today I have a review of a new collection of stamping polish from Moonflower Polish that was just released a few days ago.  For the Isla de Encanto collection, Nadia is taking us to her lovely home of Puerto Rico, also known as Isla del Encanto or Island of Enchantment.  I personally don't know much about Puerto Rico but if it was the inspiration for these polishes, it must be absolutely breathtaking!  The collection is made up of 8 shimmery polishes that are formulated for stamping but, as a hint, I absolutely love Moonflower Polish for all kinds of nail art.  In todays post I've only tested their stamp-ability but I know these are going to be great for a lot more than that.  This is Nadia's third release and she's really nailed her formula with this collection.  All of these stamped with perfect ease.  To go along with the tropical theme, I chose all floral stamping images to test these polishes instead of picking randomly like I usually do. Nadia was kind enough to provide a 10% off coupon code COPYCAT10 for my readers.  She really is sweet!

26 Great Nail Art Ideas - Going On Holiday

Press  Sample

Hey there!  Sorry I disappeared lately.  I've been super busy (that's always the story of summer for me) but I couldn't skip another day because I just had to post the nail art I did for 26 Great Nail Art Ideas theme this week.  The prompt is "Going On Holiday" which was the perfect excuse to put my dream holiday onto my nails using some products from Whats Up Nails.  I combined a few of their stencils with my favourite magic shifting powder, the Sunset powder (which I previously reviewed here).

Nail Crazies Unite - Fruit

Hey there!  Since yesterday was the wrap up to Digit-al Dozen's week and I didn't have it in me to write two posts in one day, I'm a tad late for this week's Nail Crazies Unite post.  And what a shame to be late for this one because its theme is truly one of my favourite things in the world...fruit!  Seriously I'm such a fruit junkie.  I'm not a huge sugar eater but when it comes to all of fruit's sweetness, I have a sweet tooth.  But it's healthy sugar...right??  I wish I could've done a huge fruit basket on my nails (though I kind of have done that before, a full two years ago), today I just have strawberries.  Yummy, yummy strawberries...

The Digit-al Dozen does Paper - Newspaper Stamping

Hey there!  It's the last Digit-al Dozen theme day this week.  For my last Paper design, I thought I could do a stamped newspaper look, using yet another one of the Moyra plates I had just bought.  I liked it well enough but then I wondered what went with newspapers and my sister suggested coffee.  So here we have my newspaper mani, with and without coffee.

The Digit-al Dozen does Paper- Paper Cranes

Hey there!  When brainstorming with things that one can do with paper, I thought of origami.  How that popped into my head, I don't know since I haven't folded a piece of paper in any sort of organized fashion since I was WAY younger.  I swear I could never follow origami instructions so I'd always mess something up along the way.  But once in awhile I could fold a paper crane properly so it's fitting that that's the only origami stamping image I have.  Here we have the fourth Digit-al Dozen paper post.  Good thing I have a whole bunch of clear stamper heads so I could do this many paper cranes for my nails!

The Digit-al Dozen does Paper - Books

Hey there!  Probably one of my favourite things involving paper is reading, especially in summer.  I think it stems from the fact that my parents would let me stay up late when I was little, as long as I was reading.  I believe I've always been a night owl so I loved (and still love) anything that lets me stay awake until all hours.  Nowadays, more often than not, it's doing my nails that keeps me up late but when I'm out at the cabin, it's still reading.  So how could I not do a book mani for The Digit-al Dozen's week of paper.  Plus I got to use another one of my new Moyra plates.  These images are so pretty!

The Digit-al Dozen does Paper - Trees!

Hey there!  Since this week the Digit-al Dozen is doing all things paper-related, I figured I better do something to show where we actually get paper...from trees!  I even googled what type of trees are used to make paper and the internet's first answer is softwood, such a spruce, pine, fir, etc.  Those are all evergreen trees and I just so happened to have an awesome evergreen image on one of my Lina Nail Art Supplies plates so that's what I used to honour our lovely trees.

The Digit-al Dozen does Paper - Vintage Letter

Hey there!  Hooray, it's time for a new Digit-al Dozen week!  This week we're doing the theme of "paper"....tough one eh?  I struggled coming up with ideas at first but then I got my order of Moyra plates from Beautometry and it all came together.  Seriously, I use these plates in three of the designs I did for this week.  Plus I had also bought the foil gel and some foils.  The first look I tried to do for paper was a vintage letter, inspired by some of the amazing vintage stamping that Ten Little Canvasses has done with Moyra plates and foil.

26 Great Nail Art Ideas - Water

Hey there!  Today's 26 Great Nail Art Ideas theme is something we can't live without - water!  I know I'm not alone in really, really loving water, hence I spend as much time at the lake as possible.  Even though I can't swim, being around water is just so calming.  Or, in the case of our cold and angry lake, it's exhilarating.  For today's mani I picked a design that was calming to look at but not so calming to actually do.  I chose to do a blue water marble so it's sort of water two ways - looks like water and used water to do it.

Dragon Nails with Whats Up Nails Tropic Flakies and Scales Stencils

Press  Sample

Hey there!  Well it's just over a month away from the start of  Game of Thrones seventh season and I just couldn't wait to do some dragon nails.  I swear I was going to hold off but I lost all my will power when I was sent a couple of Whats Up Nails products - the Tropic Flakies and the Scales Stencils.  These could've been used for very different nail looks but I was so stuck on dragons that I wore two different dragon designs with them.  But I did also do a flower-y one with the flakies so it's not all destructive mythical creatures.

UberChic Beauty Collection 18 Review

Press  Sample

Hey there!  Well I'm back from the inaugural Indie Expo Canada and almost back to normal.  What a fun weekend!  I met so many of my nail heroes (makers, bloggers, stockists and other nail fanatics) and got to buy lots of new pretty polishes (and some body stuff).  For my weekend mani I tried to use all brands that were vending but I couldn't resist including UberChic Beauty's "Indies Do It Better" image.  Her brand new collection, Collection 18, is also full of great images that I'll be reviewing today.

Nail Crazies Unite - Music

Hey there!  I am currently sitting at the airport waiting for my flight to Toronto for the first ever Indie Expo Canada and I figured I might as well use my time to get today's blog post up.  Music is the theme for this week but I actually wore this design ages ago.  April 20th to be exact.  I remember that because I did them for my friends birthday because he loves Michael Jackson.  Not everyone gets their very own birthday mani so I hope he knows that makes him pretty special, haha!
